Even though, as on now, Municipal Authorities are dependent on manpower when it comes to cleaning / de-silting of manholes and wet wells and is still an unsolved problem.\n\nIt has become more challenging with the implications of the directives of the Hon’ble supreme court directing all the municipalities to avoid manpower entering into the manholes and wet wells for its cleaning and to explore the possibilities of using mechanized vehicles and equipment for this purpose.\n\nKeeping the above facts in mind the Research & Development wing of Maniar has been able to design and develop advanced and highly innovative machine “D' siltman”.\n\n“D Siltman“ Hydraulic operated cum winch Drive De-Silting Grab Bucket System developed on 3 & 4 Wheeler is the ideal solution for cleaning of manholes and wet wells. The machine can easily and effectively collect silt/ sludge from the depth of 30 to 50 feet or more with the help of a lever control without having the person to enter manholes and wet wells. The fully equipped machine is provided with Telescopic Extendable Boom for extended reach, a rear hopper to avoid multiple handling of the sludge, as the sludge can be collected in the rear hopper of the vehicle and can be hydraulically emptied in big containers. Since it is developed on 3 & 4 Wheeler, it can easily move in narrow lanes, bylanes. It is economical and available at the optimum price. It not only removes blockage but also washes away all debris found within the pipe. High pressure jetting units maintain constant working pressure and cleaning power at the nozzle end while mechanical machines will lose cutting and torque power as rod or cable distances increase within pipelines from the point of entry.\n\nHigh pressure jetting has another advantage over cable or rodding machines. Pipelines that are suspended from ceilings or catwalks are easily cleaned using a high-pressure jetting hose rather than a heavy, cumbersome mechanical drain cleaning machine.
